Fourteen artists and agencies from around the globe, were selected and commissioned by the Coca-Cola Company through Rock 'N Roll Agency in Belgium, to represent their native country, and challenged with the task of creating their own interpretation of "The Coke Side Of Life" for a special artist edition series of visuals. I was chosen to represent the United States.
The visuals were used on a wide range of marketing and promotional materials including billboards, posters, and digital displays. The artwork was also silk-screened onto canvas and showcased during Coca-Cola's "Coke Side of Life" Art Exhibition on London's South Bank in England. A live art piece was created by the renowned pop artist Sir Peter Blake, who is widely known for his cover art for The Beatles "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." Coke also created a special website to showcase all the artists, their work and an interview as well.
The other artists involved were 013a (Romania), Adhemas Batista (Brazil), Büro Destruct (Switzerland), CaosCC (Spain), Creative XL (India), DJ Spinbalon (Venezuala), Extraverage (Hungary), Fung Wee Lim (Canada), Idokungfoo (Japan), Pixecute (Indonesia), Rex (South Africa), Serge Mienandi (Senegal, Africa), The Designers Republic (UK), Vault 49 (UK).
